On the weekend of September 14 and 15, Todd’s Inheritance Historic Site Museum and Interpretive Site participated in the first (and hopefully annual) Tracing the Trail event.  The event was organized by the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail Team of the National Park Service.  The Todd House and grounds are located on this National Trail, one of only 21 National Historic Trails in the United States.

Nearly 300 visitors joined Todd’s Inheritance volunteers, NPS rangers, the Fort McHenry Guard, Chesapeake Independent Blues, Ship’s Company, and the British Royal Marines!  The events included musket firings, living history displays, fife and drum music, and a flag display.  The weather was perfect and families and kids participated in art and costume dress up stations.
